Public health dentists and dental hygienists express an interest in continuing education.

I n July 1969, the Unit in Dental Public Health of the School of Public Health a t the University of Michigan mailed out a questionnaire t o 281 dentists and 2 3 dental hygienists. all currently engaged in the practice of public health. The purpose of the survey was twofold: (1) t o determine the interest in, and the need for continuing education, as expressed by personnel now practicing dental public health, and (2) t o gather data that could be used in planning the courses for continuing education in this specialty.
